Eretz Yisroel: Appeal for Chaya Bas Orah

Written by my wife:

Chaya bas Orah is a 36-year-old woman who we know. She has a daughter in gan with our daughter Tova.

Three years ago, when she was expecting her third child, she was diagnosed with cancer and the doctors performed an emergency C-section in her 8th month to start treatments as soon as possible.

She underwent various treatments for 2 years. The doctors then told her there was nothing else they could do and sent her home.

Chaya is clinging to hope--and life. She is trying to explore various alternative therapies, like acupuncture and intensive vitamin treatments. But they cannot afford the expense involved.

Nevertheless, she is still wearing a smile on her face and speaking about the deepened emunah she has gained since this trial began.

I recently saw her at the end-of-year gan party. It was the first gan party she has been able to stay for in a long, long time. As the girls danced and sang, I kept stealing glimpses at her, awed by this woman who was smiling, taking it all in and truly living in the moment, despite the tremendous suffering and obstacles she is enduring.

Sadly, Chaya doesn't look anything like her picture anymore. But her smile still remains--bright, beautiful and full of hope.

Please give whatever you can to help her and her family (she has three precious children--aged 9, 6 and 3, and a husband in the IDF). And please share the link with others who may be able to help.

She should have a refuah sheleimah among all the other sick people in Klal Yisrael.
